How fast can I get my York Stone order?

Delivery times depend on the product: in-stock items can usually be dispatched within a few days, while made-to-order and bespoke stone takes longer (typically around two weeks, sometimes more for complex pieces). We do not offer next-day delivery. As soon as you place your order we'll confirm an approximate lead time, then follow up by email with your delivery details once everything is scheduled.

In-stock items can usually be delivered within a few days, while made-to-order paving and bespoke pieces take longer (often around two weeks, and longer again for larger or more complex orders). Once you've ordered, we'll email you a confirmed lead time for everything you've bought.

What delivery options are available?

We deliver across the UK using three options: tail-lift pallet courier (standard), Hiab courier and articulated lorry. Tail-lift pallet delivery is the standard method and unloads kerbside. Hiab and artic deliveries can place your stone more precisely or suit difficult access, and both carry an additional cost, which you select when ordering. Delivery is charged on every order, and someone must be present at the address to receive it.

In-stock items can usually be delivered within a few days, while made-to-order paving is typically ready in around two weeks; bespoke pieces vary with the amount of work and complexity involved. We'll give you an approximate lead time as soon as you place your order, then follow up with an email confirming the lead time and your delivery details.

Do I need to prepare anything for delivery?

Yes — what's needed depends on your products and chosen delivery method, and we'll email full instructions once you've ordered. For tail-lift delivery your order arrives kerbside, so on a gravel driveway please lay wooden boards so the driver can unload as close as possible. Hiab delivery places pallets more precisely and suits awkward access. Artic delivery uses a forklift at the destination — tell us in advance if access is tight. All deliveries are made by our trusted third-party couriers.

What time of day will my delivery arrive?

Deliveries can arrive at any time between roughly 7am and 6pm on your scheduled day. Because our stone is delivered by third-party couriers, we can't guarantee a precise arrival time, but we'll always contact you beforehand to arrange the delivery day and talk through access. Please make sure someone is present at the address to receive the order.

Can I change my delivery date?

Yes — if your delivery date no longer suits you, we can move it to one that does. Just get in touch as early as possible so we can arrange a new date with our courier. The sooner you let us know, the easier it is to reschedule around your project.

How much does delivery cost?

Accepted Answer

Delivery is charged on every order — we don't offer free delivery. The cost depends on your delivery address, the quantity of stone and the method you choose: standard tail-lift pallet delivery is the most economical, while Hiab and articulated-lorry deliveries cost more because of the extra equipment and handling involved. Your delivery cost is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.

Which areas do you deliver to?

We deliver genuine Yorkshire stone nationwide across mainland UK. Delivery to more remote areas, the Scottish Highlands, or anywhere with difficult vehicle access may take longer or carry a higher cost, and some locations may need a smaller vehicle or a Hiab. If you're unsure whether we can reach your address, get in touch with your postcode and we'll confirm the best delivery option for you.

Will I be told when my delivery is coming?

Yes. We'll always contact you ahead of delivery to arrange a suitable day and to confirm any access details. Because your stone is carried by our third-party courier partners, we can't track it minute-by-minute, but we'll keep you informed of your scheduled delivery day so you can make sure someone is present to receive it.

What happens if I'm not in when delivery arrives?

Someone must be present to receive your delivery, as the driver needs help directing where heavy pallets of stone are placed and to confirm the order on arrival. If no one is available, the delivery can't be completed and a failed-delivery or re-delivery charge may apply. If your plans change, please contact us as early as possible and we'll reschedule for a day that works for you.

Can I collect my order instead of having it delivered?

York stone is heavy and is normally delivered by pallet courier or Hiab rather than collected, so we recommend letting us arrange delivery to your door.
