Brighouse Sawn Paving is a premium yorkstone paving slab quarried in Yorkshire and diamond-sawn on all four sides. It has a consistently warm buff colour with occasional natural veining, making it one of the most uniform and widely specified genuine york stone flags available in the UK.
Brighouse Sawn Paving is priced per square metre and varies with slab thickness and quantity. Check the live price on this product page or use the quote calculator — natural yorkstone paving commands a premium over imported sandstone but delivers far greater longevity and a timeless British aesthetic.
Measure your area in metres and multiply length by width to get m². Add 10% for cuts and wastage. Yorkstone Supplies provides an on-page area calculator, or our team can check your figures before you order. Free samples are available to confirm the colour and finish before committing.
Sawn yorkstone paving has a naturally smooth face that offers good grip underfoot when dry; applying a non-slip natural stone sealant is recommended for exposed patios and paths. The sawn surface is less textured than a riven finish, so sealing is particularly advisable in shaded or damp settings.
Lay sawn yorkstone slabs on a full mortar bed (not spot-bedded) using a sharp sand and cement mix, with consistent joint gaps of 8–15mm. Apply a natural stone sealant before and after pointing to protect the surface. A solid bed prevents flexing and cracking over time.
