Cranleigh is where Yorkstone Supplies lives. Our yard sits on Alfold Road, on the Littlemeads Industrial Estate, with stock you can walk through and stonemasons cutting to size on the floor behind. For a village that still calls itself England's largest, it's a quiet kind of trade — much of what leaves here goes to gardens within a five-mile ride: Ewhurst, Alfold, Dunsfold, Bramley, Shamley Green, and across the line into Rudgwick.
The Surrey Hills around Cranleigh have a softer stone character than the gritstone walls of West Yorkshire — sandstone outcrops, flint and brick traditions, oak-framed cottages with weathered stone thresholds. Yorkstone fits the Cranleigh landscape because it ages into it. New Greetland paving laid this spring will look part of the place by its third winter. Reclaimed flags, lifted from Yorkshire mill yards and brought south, arrive with a hundred years of weather already on them.
Most of what Cranleigh customers ask for is paving — riven for traditional cottages, sawn for the contemporary builds going up around the village, aged for those who want the reclaimed look on a working budget. Our Greetland Buff is quarried in Bradford and finished by hand in the yard before it goes out. Walling stone, copings, setts and steps all share the same provenance and the same straightforward delivery: today, if it's in stock, or within a few days once it's cut.
The showroom is open Monday to Friday. Walk in, ask questions, take samples home — no appointment, no commitment.

Recent local project
A collection of recent Surrey projects — gardens in Cranleigh and the surrounding villages, finished with paving, copings and bespoke cuts from the yard. Most started as a sample visit to Alfold Road; a few ended in dry stone walling. All of them landed within a few miles of the showroom.
The Hebden stone has completely transformed our patio area.
A great company to work with for our courtyard garden project. The customer service was fantastic and the Hebden stone has completely transformed our patio area. Speedy delivery and very little breakages — any variations just add to the charm.
Henry's project shows what Hebden does in a contemporary courtyard. — Yorkstone Supplies
