Our Aged Greetland coping stones are exclusive to Yorkstone Supplies, and the ideal way to get an authentic reclaimed stone appearance on a tighter budget. Quarried in Bradford, it has the same grey-blue colour of our other Greetland products. But each new coping stone is artificially weathered to fettle and distress the outer edges, so it looks like it’s already seen a hundred British winters. Because each stone is cut to your specification, it’s more versatile than reclaimed stone and easy to add steps or paving if you need them. We’re always searching for new ways to make our ageing process more eco-friendly too.
As all of our stone is a quarried natural material, variations may occur in mineral content and there may also be slight marks or veining on the stone.
You can request a free sample of this York Stone product so you can get a feel for the look and texture, and although we try our best to ensure the sample is as close to the product as possible, we are unable to guarantee an exact replication of the sample provided. Please wet your sample to get an idea of how the stone will look when wet.
As with most things in life, they look different when dry or wet, and that's the same with our York Stone! Please see the colour variations icon to see the product when dry and when wet. There may also be a few images in the image gallery to show the difference.

View the productWe quarry our Greetland Riven Paving in Bradford and each slab of premium quality rock is sawn on four sides before being given its hand-riven finish by our stone masons. The result is a superb, natural, hard-wearing paving that will last forever, in a buff grey that suits properties of all ages.
This particular New Riven Paving has a tolerance of between 35-65mm, so it can’t be butt jointed. We recommend a pointing gap of around 10-15mm to be safe. If you’re laying it in a high traffic area or somewhere with lots of trees or foliage, we also recommend using a natural stone sealant to protect against staining and give it a bit more grip in wet weather.
A small amount of veining is common in Greetland stone so if you would like a free sample then simply add to your basket below, but please do remember this will just be a small representation. To get a feel for the character of Riven Paving, you can always arrange a viewing at our yard in Surrey. We can also send you a full-sized slab for a small additional cost.
