Dry Stone Walls built with no mortar or cement are common in Britain, especially in areas where climate and elevation prevent trees and hedges from forming natural borders. Harking back to the Iron Age, Dry Stone Walling still provides a sustainable way to build decorative perimeters and borders using natural recycled York Stone.

Our Reclaimed Dry Stone Walling is a mixture of flat bedded stones which are random in their size and shape. All of our reclaimed stone will be cleaned and prepared prior to delivery so you can be sure you will receive the good mix you need for a sturdy build.

A tonne bag (800kg in weight) of our reclaimed walling stone will give you approximately 2.5-3m2 of dry stone wall.

As all of our stone is a quarried natural material, variations may occur in mineral content and there may also be slight marks or veining on the stone.

You can request a free sample of this York Stone product so you can get a feel for the look and texture, and although we try our best to ensure the sample is as close to the product as possible, we are unable to guarantee an exact replication of the sample provided. Please wet your sample to get an idea of how the stone will look when wet.
